COVID VACCINATION UPDATE 16/01/21
The Mulberry Centre, our local COVID vaccination centre for all patients registered with a Practice in North Sedgemoor PCN (patients from Axbridge & Wedmore, Brent Area, Burnham & Berrow, Cheddar and Highbridge) is receiving a further delivery of vaccine next week and everyone aged 80 and over who hasn't already been vaccinated will be contacted over the next few days (including over this weekend) to be offered an appointment locally. The PCN hope to have offered first vaccinations to all patients aged 80 and over by the end of next weekend.
You may have received a letter inviting you to book a COVID vaccination appointment at Ashton Gate in Bristol and, if you prefer, you can still attend there for your vaccination. For everyone under 80, please be patient. You will be contacted when it is your turn. Please do not ring the surgery about COVID vaccinations as we are unable to tell you any more than this at present.
Volunteers - if you are interested in volunteering in any capacity to help at COVID vaccination centres, please e-mail the following mvp.recruitment@somersetft.nhs.uk
National Covid-19 vaccination programme
We know that people will be very keen to find out about our local plans for the vaccination programme in Somerset. We are currently working together with our local health and care providers to develop a detailed Somerset-wide plan to deliver the vaccinations in a safe and effective way for the priority groups identified by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation. Please do not contact the surgery directly – we will contact you when it is time to have your vaccination.

COVID-19 PANDEMIC – WEARING OF FACE COVERING
In accordance with the law and with the aim of protecting both our patients and staff during the current pandemic, before entering the surgery at Love Lane and Berrow Health Campus, you must wear a face covering.
A face covering is something which safely covers the nose and mouth.
You can buy reusable or single-use face coverings.
You may also use a scarf, bandana, religious garment or hand-made cloth covering but these must securely fit round the side of the face.
Face coverings are largely intended to protect others, not the wearer, against the spread of infection because they cover the nose and mouth, which are the main confirmed sources of transmission of virus that causes coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
We are mindful and respectful of those who cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering because of a physical or mental illness or impairment, or disability and that some people are less able to wear face coverings, the reasons for this may not be visible to others.
If you are unable to wear a face covering, please do not enter either building.
Instead, please to speak to our Reception Team via the intercom outside the front door who will discuss how we can help you.
If you are attending either surgery for a booked appointment, you will be asked to return to your car (or wait outside if you are on foot). The consulting Clinician will come out to speak with you and discuss how we can help you.
Thank you for your understanding.
